I hate to be negative, but both are missing keys. The first one seems legit but not sure of the time frame is correct as far as the period in which it was made. The second is missing a piece and for some reason back in the ole gray matter, I have seen this one before with the missing link. Are they leg restraints, yes they are, are they dated back to the civil war period nd before, not sure. Maybe someone else can tell....
