Fact is I saw it on Ebay even before it was mentioned here.

And, fact also is that long ago I decided to devote my restraint collecting to much older Medieval period restraints and authentic instruments of torture so this particular cuff does not fit within my collection.

So, it will be for sale or trade.

Nothing wrong with picking a rare item up for trade or resale and practically all the collectors on this forum have done exactly the very same thing at one time or another.

it looks to me like all someone did was to take two single lock old cuff links & put them togetger with a little fancy added flat swivel... joe

I never said or implied that there is anything wrong with picking
up an item for resale or trade

I spotted the handcuffs about 1 hour into the auction, should I have jumped
on them just because I know there is money to be made?

should I have posted the link here before posting the question about them?

I have gotten a few good buy it now deals for items that are what I want.

As my main interest is locks and keys, I am not real interested in non locking
shackles etc.

I will say that a lot of handcuffs get posted in ebay stores long before they
come up in the regular categories.
