#1I have a friend that has a pair of handcuffs from the 1860's. They were police handcuffs from the U.K. There are serial numbers on the cuffs, which makes the value of the cuffs worth more. Is this true? They are Thompson cuffs.

#2The numbers are not serial numbers but matching the keys to the cuffs. There are others here that can explain more details, but quite a number of Thompsons were made.
