Can anyone tell me how much Gold is applied in the plating of the S&W model 100 Handcuffs? And how much extra value the gold is worth if it were to be "recovered" from the handcuffs? Thank you

Hi @all,

normally the "thickness" of the Gold-plating should be something around 0,5 to 2 µm (not regarding a Copper-preplating).
A VERY ROUGH estimation of the total mass of the gold will be around 0,2 to 0,1 g of Au - not the real deal for re-extracting the precious metal.
