Hi all,
I am one of those lucky enough to own a pair of the Mitts.
Mine are nickled, pretty nice shape but not perfect, and they
do work perfectly. Due to two expensive opportunities and necessities I may have to part with them. If interested please let me know via email, not here on forum. I'll send
photo, and price if you're serious. I paid a lot for them and wouldn't consider less but house repairs, and another
opportunity to buy a very nice metal lathe have both come
up at the same time, so.....my mitts are on the market until
I come up with the money through selling other investments.

Looking forward to hearing from seriously interested parties only.

Hello my friends,
I am sad to report I have sold my McKenzie Mitts.
I really liked being in "the club", but need to have
some work done on the house, and also have my eyes
on a new metal lathe. Let's see here---house repairs vs.
new lathe..... house repairs vs. new lathe. OK--those who
know me know which way I'll go. Actually, I should be
able to swing both, provided the lathe doesn't sell this
weekend. Thanks for responses, and congratulations to the
new owner. I will be posting more cuffs (not mine) in the next few days. I will post set prices, here on the forum.
I'm selling a few scarce to rare items for a friend.
I have cuffs at my home, and will mail from here.

HI all,
Since I no longer own them, I will respect the privacy of
new owner, and not give price or name of new owner.
Should they wish to, that is up to them. It was a fair
price, and I will certainly miss them in my collection.

Hi John,

That is fair of you and I respect that. I thought that since the buyer is anonymous and may never come forward, those that have such a nice item in their collection would appreciate knowing what a pair sold for during these difficult financial times. Even those that do not have one in their collection yet would benefit from this information.

You are and always have been a gentleman and a fair player in these matters and it is your call.

Sorry to have you depart from the club, but business before pleasure is the rule here.

I hope you will eventually find another pair and perhaps it will be even nicer.

I purchased John's Mitts. I am excited. They are a classic example of creative US restraints plus they come from a true gentleman and a great collection. Thanks again John.

I wanted to be in the club ....i wanted to get these but they were sold ....the price was fair i would of bought them from john ....congrats to you damon on getting them...

Congratulations on joining the club!
You got them from one of the BEST!
I hope you will enjoy having them as much as John did.
While I am excited at your being the newest member of the club, I hope that John's leave of absence will be short lived and that an equitable example will come his way soon.
Until that happens, this sounds like a win-win situation for the two of you.

HI everyone,
I miss my mitts already, and didn't get the lathe I'd hoped
to buy with the money, although my house needs repairs so
thats covered. Anyway, a friend asked me to sell a Palmer,
lily iron, and some similar cuffs of that rarity. Now,
he's having second thoughts, so if he sells them, I'll post
here right away and let everyone know whats available, and
what price the seller wants. Best Wishes, John

Hi Michael,
I'd hold the Phelps and Romers until you're back, but he
has none. Too bad you didn't mention the Kimball
and Wisner Hoyts. We can dream, can't we?? The seller
I mentioned previously has decided not to sell at present.
He has a wonderful Lillie iron, #5 Palmer, interesting Tower,
Hamburg 8, Plug 8, and a few other items of less significance.
Should he change his mind I will let all of you know.
