ASP is advertising on their web site that they have a new 2 pawl (blue) security lock that takes a special key and a 3 pawl (green) Europe model as well. Does anyone know where these can be acquired.

Let me check with my distributor, and see if they have them, or can get them. It may take me a coupl eof days.

Apparently there are eight new cuffs, released by ASP. You can see them on their website.

Security Cuffs employ 2 Pawl (Blue) High Security
or 3 Pawl (Green) European replaceable Lock Sets.
The 2 Pawl High Security lock employs a unique key
that also opens any standard handcuff lock. The 3
Pawl European lock uses a standard key.

I called my distributor. He said they are not on the street yet, and doesn't expect to see them for about 2-1/2 years. He is being pesimistic, but ASP is said to have the worst record in the industry for tardy release of product. Or maybe just the most optimistic marketing wallah.

He's going to pester ASP, and said he'd call me back with information. Right now it is what the computer industry used to call Vaporware.

What about the ASP rigid cuff. There is someone selling them on ebay. None of the Police supply places have them yet.

I just talked with my distributor again. He said that ASP said that they just might have some out in November, but could not guess what models or in what quantities. How's that for vague?

Anyhow, I placed a blind order and will see what happens.

If they don't come in in November, then no one knows when or if we will ever see anything.
