#2These are not uncommon, I see them almost every week on eBay. They are kind of like the Italian version of the Harvard Handcuffs.

Italian handcuffs.
I must get a set to go with my Italian shoes, my Italian jeans, my Italian sunglasses, and goodness only knows what else.
These seem to only have one of those black finishes. Do they come in nickel or perhaps chrome, to match all the buttons and snaps and such on all the leather gear I already have.
Do they come with some nifty little leather pouch holder sort of thing. Not something in a tacky basketweave or patent leather sort of thing. Something masculine but reserved.
Please post as soon as possible.

from time to time you'll be able to obtain a set in NIB-quality (NOS).
By this way, you'll get not only a fantastic and stylish Italian cardboard-box, but also a very nice sheet of Italian oiled paper and tremendous amounts of original Italian lubricating grease.
The Italians are doing it right, stored for some 40 years, and no signs of corrosion at all.

I got mine through the common place...1-2-3.
You may search for * +handcuffs +carabinieri * (including European locations).
At the moment there'll be a result , but I'm not sure if it was these seller. As a precaution one should ask if he really delivers originally packed NOS.

#8What cracks me up is greedbay will almost never let me open a carabineri handcuff item page, no matter where. They check your IP, and for some reason, Italien carabineri handcuffs trigger the Nazi alert ... "blocked due to legal restrictions in your home country". Sometimes it happens when sellers mean to well and put in too many danger words. Nazi WW 2 and Italian seem to be some of them. I tried anonmymizer, but you can't bid or track the item because you need SSL for that.
I got a pair of these last year, don't ask me how. First I went "yuck!", but the grease actually does its job.
BTW, the same thing happens when you try to pull the current Presto Lyon handcuffs on ebay.fr.
I wrote them, and they have been "looking for alternatives" for almost two years now.

#9Hello,
try to set another preferred language in preferences of your browser, in this case italian can be useful. Sometimes i have the same problem with auctions from USA (i am german) but i can see item when i remove german from preferred languages leaving only english (Firefox). Maybe this trick helps in this case too. It seems that ebay disables action when a "forbidden" language ist set as preferred language. The order doesn't matter the "forbidden" language has to be removed from that list.

I just received 2 pairs of these Italian cuffs in the same condition as those pictured in the much earlier blog.
The box was a mess so I took the cuffs out and cleaned off the grease or cosmolene.
They are completely mint condition, never used, come with 1 original key and work perfectly.
The cuffs did slide against each other during their 40 to 50 year existence so there are very small spots where the black finish rubbed off but otherwise they are stone cold mint condition
Before I put these on eBay, I wanted to see if anyone was interested.... Excepting gn-ats

#12Potter and Potter, who just held the Houdini auction has another auction of WWll items.
One lot of cuffs being auctioned is this 3 piece set of cuffs are from the World Police Museum, Milan, Italy.
The padlock has the same type keyhole as the triangle cuffs.
The interesting thing is that he Dollar Sign cuff is grouped in with the 2 known to be Italian cuffs. I am almost 100% convinced that if Dean Martin or Frank Sinatra were cuffs collectors, the $ Cuff would be in their Top 10.
