#1The Hiatt 1960 cuff that I just purchased off eBay has arrived. It certainly looks like a prototype. It is nicely plated, but the underlying surface is much rougher than a normal cuff with visible file marks in places and a less than smooth action.
A standard Peerless flat key opens the cuff, there is no double lock. The cuff has two markings. The standard Hiatt 1960 mark is shown in the main picture. Then on the back of the cuff at the very end of the swing bow there is a serial number 002 is small print. The second cuff that appeared on eBay at the same time is marked 003.
