The next two items are much more interesting. The first is a flat key Maltby with markings from the St. Louis Worlds Fair of 1904. Second is a standard British Darby with the very rare mark Charleton's Warrented Wrought.

Biggest bargain was a Stotz handcuff on the German eBay site for only 104 Euros.

That is a LOT of money for a pair of cuffs that are so relatively young. Can someone explain to me why the Colt brand goes for so much money these days? I know they're out of production, but I don't see anything really special with the cuff itself. I read this forum religiously, and I've read most of the good handcuff books out there, but I just don't get it.

I think that you can buy 3 Ruger vaquero's for the price of 1 Colt SAA.

I'm still trying to figure out why anyone would pay $91 for the winchesters when you can still buy them online for $32 and at least 2 other e-bay sellers regularly sell them for under $40.

It just doesn't matter to Colt collectors. They see a rampant colt and their eyes glaze over and their brain falls out of their head.

A handcuff collector might pay $175-200 for a good set of Colt's a bit more with the box. A Colt collector pays $1400 and probably feels good about it...

What do I know, I'm an S&W guy. It's just that I have to hang around those guys. We haunt the same places.
