Cyclone

Hi All,

Sorry to bother you guys again, but I have another enquiry. I received a pair of Cyclone cuffs that I bought recently & wondered if anyone could tell me more about them. I have posted a couple of pictures of them from the front & back below.
I have never seen this version of the cuff. It doesn't have the usual push button for double locking, just the standard DL when the key is inserted on the pin. Judging by the high serial number (043483), it is obviously not a prototype. Perhaps Cyclone just decided it was cheaper & easier to remove the push button???

Any thoughts?

the metal parts look very similar to the CDS "quickkuffs", only the edges look smoother and the finnish is generally nicer!, the dull nickle plating also looks just like one of the finnishes on one of my several CDS quickkuffs,(three types, sniny nickle, dull nickle, and blued, also a fourth gold plated version, see alex's book!). CDS stands for civil defense supply, i believe they are a company based in nottingham?, and have/had the cuffs made for them, just my 2 cents worth, happy collecting, bob.

I was out bid on these to.. but the handcuff shop has been selling these for years 49.90 so i guess i will buy a new pair in the box.

As Alex Nichols states, "Cyclone closely resembles the CDS, but has push button double locking".

Perhaps later:) I was in the pub near the university when the auction ended and I was overbid too short time to run to PC and bid again...

Cyclone cuffs and CDS are identical, or at least the pairs I gave got in my collection. I don´t know who is their real manufacturer, I guess they bot are made by the same company...

Anybody from UK knows who makes the steel parts and who the plastic handles??
