Clejuso Model 12A in Nickel Plate Not Stainless

I was sorting through things and putting the odd item up on eBay.  I came across a set of Clejuso handcuffs marked 12A with two keys but no box and started to list them on eBay.  I pulled up our 12A template and it said the cuffs should be stainless, but the set I had in my hand was chrome plated or nickel plated.

I went ahead and posted them, but are now wonering how two sets marked the same could have such a different finish.  The auction is

and have wrong stampings

I just checked our Cuffsland 11As and they are all marked "12A INOX" - so it's not a rare misstrike but simply the standard.

Hi,

@Orchid: that's a Model 11A - the only difference between 12A and 11A is stainless steel vs. nickel. So as yours has the nickel plating it's an 11A with a wrong stamping.

These wrong stampings are quite common (possibly they're sometimes just too lazy to exchange the stamp when making a few 11s on the machine, who knows), I have both versions, one marked "11A" and one "12A INOX".

Hi Martin,

gee, you're right. But he current pieces I checked were all stamped wrong. Maybe Clemen&Jung even nickel plate stainless steel No 12s but I will not take a file to inspect this!
