just wanted to say i get the feeling people dont like me on this site as wen i post people dont reply also some one else called martin also posted on here the other week about something but he said that he was not the other martin on here posting and i got the feeling that he and other poeple on here think im a dick but i dont know why so if you do can you let me know or tell me if wrong sorry if i am by the way maybe people just dont know the ansers to my qs. im new to collecting and just want to find things out about the cuffs i have got and learn as much as i can about all cuffs. dont mean to afend anybody thanks martin

Hi Martin,

it's always good to use or add a nickname with/to your first name. The other Martin writes as Unimuc and only signs as Martin. And we have a Mike here, who does not make his famous garment a secret . I write as Atame and sign as Guenter, although there are less Guenters in the collector's world than Martins or Joes .

i will use robbo now thanks for leting me know this i feel beta now as i falt i had done something wrong. i love reading the posts on here i learn so much thanks. just a quick does anybody know when smith and wesson stoped putting mass on there cuff because i got m100 with mass on and just wanted to kinow how old they were

In 1963, the Post Office Department implemented the five-digit ZIP Code, which was placed after the state in the last line of an address. To provide room for the ZIP Code, the Department issued two-letter abbreviations for all states and territories.

This does not mean they stopped using MASS on the cuff, just a date that could be used for reference.

As Joe has already said, it helps if contributors give their email address - and yes, Guenter, there are loads of Mikes around, so it can help with positive identification if a nickname is used.
