For those that are coming to the cannon's 6th convention. Typically there is a dinner in Ontario Thursday Night. This started becasue many people come into the town early and why not gather for a bit.

One year, I tried to maneuver the group to the magic castle. That fell rather flat on its' face. I won't try to compete again.

However. I am going to be at the Magic Castle Wednesday before the convention. If any are in town and are interested in joining me, let me know. We can make it happen!

P.S. Those who are flying into LAX, let me know when you are coming. If I can lend a ride to Ontario I will. No Promises, but I am willing to try.

Hi Cliff,

I will arrive at LA International on Thursday 1, 3:20 PM. If it would be possible to get a lift with you (again)
it would be just GREAT! Is anyone else arriving to the airport about the same time?

I can't promise yet, but I think it may be possible. Keep in mind I will get off work at 3:30 that Thursday, so you will probably have a bit of time waiting for me, but hopefully we can coordinate.

I'm on my way. Despite terrible luck in general today, my flights have been booked and all is committed. I'll be working wall to wall hours until Thursday and head out pre- dawn Friday. Would not drive two miles to get to any event but this. Can't wait to see you all.

My flights are all booked, and time off work is hopefully all approved (unusual situation there...don't ask). My flight gets in late Wednesday night, and I have a tentative meeting with someone from the deaf community Thursday morning. Only thing I'm not looking forward to is the 4 1/2 hour layover in Phoenix!!

I have a trial that starts next Monday and "should" end on Wednesday. Fly back to Austin Wednesday night then off to Ontario on Thursday morning. I told my co-counsel that if the trial goes past Wednesday, she is on her own.

Oddly enough, I'll be going to a prison tomorrow for some witness preparations.

A few weeks ago I toured the "death house" at the oldest state prison in Texas (Huntsville Unit opened in 1849). It was pretty interesting. Texas actually moved death row to a separate facility from where the execution chamber is located.
