I've had this picture of a French Nipper/Claw for many years, but I've never seen another one. Does anyone have this Nipper or know anything about it ?

Neat device, however I wonder if it is a nipper for "human" use. From the picture the area that would go around the wrist looks small and the pointed ends remind me of ice tongs.

The item is very similar to a "claw" in Lars' collection. The size is too small for an ice tong. It is spring loaded to close, and was in a US Police department collection , but was given to the department by a French Policeman as I recall.

I think it is a puller for removing batteries from industrial machinery!
