Hiatt leg irons unknown mark

I have had these for years in my collection and I am now trying to find out what the G at the end of HIATT means if you look at the photo it is HIATTG ??? I always thought hiatt griffin but i know i might be wrong.

Over 25 years of collecting and a University degree i can spell.It is a G..i know the photo is not high quality but i have had these for over 17 years and if your holding them it is a G.I thought for years maybey it was an S but everyone who has seen them agrees its a G

Perhaps....but even more intriguing is what is being used to prop up the cuffs?

It is a multi lever padlock made in India.
