Repair Alfa Proj. Transort Restraint.

I boke the key off in my Alfa Proj. handcuffs. They are part of the transport chains with the legirons attached. So it would be difficult to get a new pair in the USD due to the import laws. Does anyone know where I could send them to have the cuff cut off and one replaced. I cantacted the manufacturer this morning and am waiting for their answer.

I don't know of any restrictions on importing cuffs to the US. We restrict their export, and stupidly I might add.

Any decent welder should be able to do the work. You want him to cut and TIG weld the chain or ring.

You can buy a single handcuff from the handcuffs shop and then have it welded to your set.

What the OP means is that Leg Irons cannot be exported outside the European Union.

If cuffsland can ship leg irons to USA without restriction, that would give them an edge over handcuffs shop if ordering leg irons or combination cuffs - leg iron.

afaik cuffsland is also not allowed to ship leg irons outsite europe.

I thought we are talking about Ralkem 9921, which are needed for replacement.

I still can't imagine what's the real problem with repairing the broken cuff? I assume the key broke off because it's somehow stuck in the lock? The only way I know to do this is to activate the double lock while the key is in the lock and in a wrong position - this reliably locks the key inside an alfa proj. But it's no real problem: using an thin L-shaped wire try to open the double lock of the cuff through the space remaining in the lock. Once the double lock is open you can easily turn and remove the rest of the key.

The other option of course would be you broke the key while the cuff was in use, and then decided to destroy the cuff to get it off. In that case I'd also vote for replacing just the defective cuff and have it welded on, it's the easiest...

The key broke when I had the cuffs on so I had to cut the one cuff off it can't be reapired. I wonder if ian could fix them for a reasonable price or if any one on here wants to sell a set?

Hello, I still don´t understan what is the problem and which part do you need to replace? Because I live in the Czech Republic, I have very good contacts to Alfa proj, but they don´t service their cuffs. They replace them because of faulty material and so on, but not because of broken keys...

It must be a very brutal force to break the key, they are strong and of very good material...

The thinng you write about - that the key is deathlocked when you activate the button - it is a problem of older sets, engineers from Alfa have already re-designed the lock by changind the tollerances. Now this is not possible.

Yes they where deathlocked. Even after I cut them The part of the bow that was in the cuff would not move.
