I was wondering if there are any collectors located near me and became curious, and thought it would be interesting to many, to know where all of us handcuff collectors are located and how we are distributed around the country/globe. I am located in Ferndown, Dorset, England. About 100 miles south on London with a superb sandy beach and 5 miles of golden sand at Bournemouth only 8 miles away. Although must admit we do not use it in July or August due to the Grockles!

Here is the Google map produced by Mr. G. based upon the locations given in this thread.
You need Google maps installed to see it. Down load the file on to your computer. Make sure you keep the .kmz extension. Then double click on the name and it will open in Google earth to give you a picture of the globe with "push pins" at each location.

For those who may be having trouble getting the page to work, you have to have Google Maps which if you go to Google search just click on the maps button at the top of the page. Before you do this copy the link that Joe posted and paste it into the search area on the maps page the hit enter. That should do it. You have to play around with the sizing. Clicking on the pin will give the persons name. Neat!!!

I'm from the city that is called "The birthplace of TELEvision". Home to former experimental television station W2XCD transmitting from DeForest Radio Corporation. It was the first television station to transmit to the home, and was the first station to broadcast a feature film. It was once home to the Okonite company, whom made the electrical cables powering Thomas Edison's first electrical installation in Manhattan as well as the transcontenental cables across the Atlantic ocean. The place where the Shirelles grew up & later formed. The former world headquarters & factory of the Hewitt-Robbins Conveyor Co. makers and patent holders of the original maintenance free design of mining conveyor belting some STILL in service over 70 years later! ........................................................................................................................NOW the most noteworthy thing of this city is that the corner empanada place was having a 2 for one special after reopening after a grease fire that caused severe damage to the building.
