That is very strange.

Please note that the initial posting is NOT from Cuffsland. It seems that there is an unknown supporter who advertises for our auction. In principle this is not bad, but it is not okay that this person faked the posting's creator, so that it seems that we wrote it ourselves.

Please, Joe, feel free to delete the whole thread, as we do not want to spam this nice forum with unwanted advertisement (written in our name but not by us or with our permission).

I did not mind the original listing because it advertised a genuine collectable handcuff. A valid topic for this forum. Such listings are appropriate if they offer something of interest to the readers of the forum.

However, I don't want listings for junk reproductions or standard contemporary cuffs that would be of little interest to this group.

If anyone is going to make such a posting they should of course include their own name and a valid email address so those interested can correspond.

Your permission presumed I want to use this opportunity to place a little REAL Cuffsland ad here. At Cuffsland we have a rubric called "collector's corner" (Sammlerecke) where we have some interesting vintage cuffs and nippers. Unfortunately www.cuffsland.com is not up-to-date, but on www.cuffsland.de (Sammerlecke) we have some new pieces (in low amount only), which could be interesting for the collectors here - e.g. fully working Rivolier Type 1955 handcuffs with both keys or near mint Heid & Roth Nippers, which were in official police use and are factory marked with "Landespolizei" (country police). Moreover we now have the quite new Carl Walther (maker of James Bond's Walther PPK Pistol) police handcuffs in stock (www.cuffsland.de - Deutschland). We hope that we will update www.cuffsland.com in the next two weeks.
