Miniature Lilly Irons

At the convention I was lucky to purchase the miniature brass Lilly Irons made by John Bushey. They are made of brass, four inches in length and completely operational. They are mounted in a custom frame with the key above and are removable.

I was going to send the picture to John, but thought I would share his handy work with everyone. Thanks John, hope you are doing well.

I cannot tell from the photo. I gave details needed to construct them and form the hinges to John. As these was the quickest and easiest to make, both John and made made several of them. While John was visiting my place I made one right there in front of him so he knew the process.

I have another set of these. John was obsessed with making things. I always took his Okito Coin boxes (in Cocobolo) and plug 8 cuffs to any convention I went to just to show them off.

Good to hear from both of you.  Too bad we can't all get together like the "old days".  

It was most often John who got us together. I knew that after his "service" in MN we would hardly get together again.

Glad you got the Lilly. I've learned to include some change or keys in the pics to give some scale. You can fool folks pretty bad otherwise.
