S&W QC is terrible, not impressed

Ordered a few modern cuffs from our favorite wholesaler to update my modern collection with a few of the latest cuffs... I am not impressed with S&W QC. My new M&P Melonite cuffs had a double lock lever than when worked did not even double lock the cuffs. After several trys it finally started double locking, but now the spring return on the little lever is no more. What a piece of crap IMO. (Not the wholesalers fault)

The M&P nickel version seems to be of much better construction and works flawlessly.

S&W should have spent the few extra bucks and retained the model 90 series of cuffs.

On a side note, I also got my Peerless 95th Anniversary cuffs... #147/400 Unique is the only word I'll use, as the modern Peerless are as crappy as the modern S&W.

Graham, send the cuffs back as they did have trouble in the beginning with the M&P's and I am sure they will be replaced. I remember talking to DHW and they were playing around with them and had trouble too. I also agree the model 90's are better cuffs in general but the cost of producing them and staying competitive is not there. Several steps were eliminated when they came out with the 100's.

Never had any problems with mine. I got 3 sets of them, back in March 2009. 2 of them were the Melonite version. I agree the model 90's Great cuffs. it shame they don't make them anymore.

I had a set earlier this year I believe, melonite M&P. They are nice and I never had any problems. I got mine in the UK via a US seller on Amazon.
