It can be a Nickel plating alloy with like brass, bronze added to give the color. From glancing on the internet, there is process where they Nickel plate and then do a coloring to give the appearance of like gold.

These cuffs were obviously based on the Batman motion picture, as the Batcuffs featured in the DC Comics series and the '66 television show were linked and much smaller.
I don't believe that they were a swing-thru cuff, as they resembled the original Tower DL handcuffs.
The television show, while campy and cheesy, featured some entertaining though poorly rigged escape sequences.
Remember when The Joker restrained Aunt Harriet (played by Harriet Cooper) in a straitjacket and placed her on a conveyor belt?

What shades of pink???
I can hardly await to explain to the magistrate that the true, underlying reason for my apprehension had nothing to do with my behavior, but simply that the shade of color in my ballroom gown clashed with the color of the officer's personal detention devices, and he became sooooo nasty when I mentioned that.
I was never so insulted.
Being confined within such cheap, plastic coated, laser etched, clam-shelled packaged items!
Ohhh, but for the days when at the least, you could expect the dignity of the simple, classic design of a Peerless in its simple nickel plating.
What's next???? Designer bullets???

Movie memorabilia stuff runs at some pretty steep prices. They were originally advertised as fully functional, but someone obviously mucked with the specs. I suspect the original contractor proved to be incapable.

I should get out my Pantone cards? They do have some function in getting your cuffs back after the furball. "Hey, who's got my pink cuffs?" They come in other colors too, red, green, yellow, blue, desert sand, and H-T has purple.

Both S&W and Taurus make pink guns. There's an outfit called Lauer Weaponry that can re-do your weapon in all sorts of bright colors.

They even took a poll (now closed) to vote on which color and style of Batcuffs would compliment the functional utility belt.
