ok one Stupid Question Here. How Did he Take Them Apart ?

Don,
I use a broken drill bit chucked into a drill press and a vise with a gap so when I push the pin out, it has somewhere to go. As for the Thompson, I bought them on ebay with the end plugs missing and one spring and bolt to them... Most of your modern handcuffs can be taken apart that way unless the pin is peened in place. I have a pair of standard Mattatucks I will take pictures of some day soon. Those are actually screwed together with #6-32 and then the heads are filed off. I have a pair I had to repair and have not finished with them to put into service and serves to help me make working keys for them.
