A lot of the designer label and "name" products have been replicated and offered as authentic.

That goes for handbags, wrist watches, etc. I have no idea about silver plated handcuffs or even how one would go about verifying that they are the real deal but still, one should be cautious.

I am glad you found your lady something better for less.

Back in the 1970s or maybe the early 1980s, when Gucci handbags and purses were at the height of their popularity, some creative entrepreneur with a good sense of humour came out with an unpretentious handbag with Goochey, or maybe it was Goochy, stamped all over it. An infuriated Gucci filed suit, claiming irreparable damage and other nonsense, using the financial bludgeon of the civil action to wipe out this disrespectful upstart. I have held a mild grudge against Gucci since.

Hi Jack,

I did not actually consider this purchase with much conviction. I did ponder upon it, but the thought diminished very quickly.
She, as well as my former love just can't appreciate the finer things in life as all of us here can and do.
I figured a sparkely diamond and emerald necklace would make a more appropriate Valentines gift than a Gucci bracelet. As all of us know, as far as "jewelry" is concerned, the finest of gifts are always rare metal rings on wrists!
