Tower Double Lock Handcuff with Key

I recently found what I believe to be a pair of Tower Double Lock Handcuffs with original key. I may be wrong about them being Tower but after doing some research I think they might be. Im hoping somebody will know if in fact they are Tower and how much they might be valued at. I am attaching a picture so you can get a visual idea of what they look like. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. THANKS!

The Tower DL was a very popular cuff for decades, and many were made and sold.
The original Tower DL has 3 waffle links, while the Union Hardware made model has an elongated link with swivels. As one would expect, the latter model is more common and typically sells for less. In fact, I've recently seen NOS (military surplus) Union Hardware Tower handcuffs auction for about $250. NOS original Tower DLs should likely fetch a much higher auction price, though still one of the lower valued antique cuffs due to the large numbers that were produced.

Their main competitor of the day was the chunkier Bean (original models and Cobb version) in my opinion, and while these were also made in great numbers, they typically sell for a bit more, as they are generally more desired by collectors.

Towers are pretty common. They were THE American handcuff until about the 1920s. I've seen Tower Double Locks go for $75 to $175, almost at random, with even more random spikes. Rarer versions like the single lock and the bottom key run for more.

You can get more if they work, and have a key. You can get a key from Canon's Great Escapes.

LOOK ON KEYHOLE SIDE OF BOTH CUFFS DOWN NEAR THE HENGE YOU SHOULD SEE VERY SMALL DATES LIGHTLY ECHED ON ONE CUFF, THE LAST DATE WILL GIVE U AN IDEA OF THE AGE AND IF THEY ARE REALLY TOWERS, HOWEVER IT COULD BE WEAR OFF AS MANY DATES ARE. ALSO READ THE INFO UNDER TOWERS AT THE HOME PAGE HERE.

Last I knew, our friend in Australia, Ian McColl, still had some Tower keys? Maybe, If Ian would be kind enough to pop up on this post, we can get you what you need. Perhaps, use the search on this forum to look up "Ian McColl email." Im dure it has been posted by him, many times in the past.
