Chicago Darbies

Having been away from the world of handcuffs for awhile, I see that there's a new company called "Chicago" selling darby-style cuffs. I've found one reference here to them being of "good quality", but I was hoping for some specifics.

Presumably, they're safer and better made that Indian darbies, but do the have the same key-stripping problems as Hiatts repros? Are there any other "issues" with construction, fit-and-finish, etc.?

these restraints are actually made by KUB, Pakistan. KUB send them to many different companies (and private persons) throughout the world (e.g. www.Cuffsland.de or Vincula in Germany, Chicago Handcuffs or CGE in USA), often marked with these companies' names.

The quality of KUB restraints is higher than the quality of an average Indian restraint. KUB use different materials – from nickel plated brass or iron to stainless steel.

Thanks! I saw this info on one of the earlier posts, too.

But I still have a few questions:

Does anybody know if the cuffs suffer from stripped key threads (as the Hiatt's repros did), and how do they stack up, quality-wise, to the Hiatt's repros?

It is good to know that they aren't just dressed-up Indian Darbies, though.
