Hi, how do you tell the age of an Argus restraint?

Is there a guide that tells what the serial numbers mean?

The Iron Claw received two patents, the first in 1934 and the second in 1937. Someone correct me if I'm wrong....First model has Pat. Pend...Second has one Pat. number....Third has 2 Pat. numbers. Argus Manufacturing Co. made them for the majority of the years out of Chicago and then Jay Pee made them out of New York. If you have a pair and post a photo it would be very easy to tell what model you have and when app. they were made.

It looks like I have the third version.
They have two patent numbers and are stamped Argus-JayPee
