New Collector

I just started collecting Cuffs, which I have quickly gotten addicted to. Thus the name Cuff junkie. My first Pair was a Peerless Model one Version one, estimated by peerless to be from 1912-1914. Now I'm looking at buying more peerless, I chose them because they were the first to have the patent on the swing thru design. I also want to obtain some 1st production smith's and a few of the colt brand since these are so rare. My question finally would be what is available to determine worth, are there any Kelly Blue Book's for Cuffs? How dose one do this without getting ripped off?
