K&D handcuffs for sale!

Hi!
Some weeks ago I was contacted by a German gentleman with a number of handcuffs for sale. He is not a collector but had them stored for about 25 years.

The more high priced and rare items are already sold but there are a few German manufactured K&D handcuffs for sale.

The sets for sale look the lower set on the picture.

Smaller K&D logo and "Lüneberg"

This version differs from other K&D Ive seen and from the pair in my own collection:

-Straight key hole position instead of slanted.

-Thinner key hole, the ordinary K&D hole doesn't work on this version.

-The stamping is smaller and stamped Lüneberg under the logo.

-They all have very low serial numbers

I have placed an ordinary K&D on the picture to show the differences.

All of the handcuffs are tested and guaranteed to work perfectly with a nice original key.

The price is 90 EUR + shipping and can be paid for through money transfer (Europe) or PayPal (US buyers).

I'm not the seller, the German gentleman is. They are to be paid for to his account and they are also shipped from him in Germany.
Im also not doing this for personal profit, I'm only assisting him as he doesnt speak or write in English.

I'm extremely happy for getting the opportunity to buy these fine Berliners.
It's not hard to understand why they are so appreciated among collectors
and escape artists from earlier years.

The interesting thing with Berliners is that not one of them is exactly the same,
there are always small differences and each one is an individual.

From some angles, yes. The K&D are German manufactured, La Massenotte are French.
K&D have one left and one right hand cuff, La Massenotte have two "left" hand cuffs.
K&D are also much rarer than La Massenotte.

Hi Lars,

Do you know what the Luneberg stamp upon the cuffs refers to?
I google searched the name and came up with a Luneberg Lens which is used in algorithims and astronomy. Being that these are nice cuffs but "not out of this world", I continued my search and found a city in Germany, southeast of Hamburg, called Luneberg.
I am wondering if this is where the cuff was manufactured or if the police department there had this model cuff made with a thinner key so the keys from the surrounding cities would not work.
Did your seller discuss this topic with you?
Are you enjoying the outdoors a bit. I bet the springtime in Sweden is second to none!
I suppose sitting indoors and messing with handcuffs is passé now that the weather is nice.

Sorry but I have no information what the stamp stand for. The seller stated they were manufactured
in the city of Lüneburg which is located in Niedersachsen, about 50 km southeast of Hamburg. Exactly
as you thought!

The weather here in Sweden is ok but not really warm yet as the spring is late this year. The motorcycles
have already been taken out for some running but it's really cold when driving fast. There will still be
some indoors messing with handcuffs until it gets warmer. You can be happy to live in the warmer part
of the world.

Well, I know that when you finally get your spring, it will be awesome!
In the meantime, enjoy messing with your cuffs. You have lots of nice ones and I hope they get the attention from you that they deserve.
I am glad to be in Southern California, but it sems that the grass is always greener on the other side....or as Guenter says "The cherry tree on the neighbor's side always has the better cherries".
I hope your weather gets nice soon and you can get out and enjoy all that Sweden can offer.
