recently the Heinrich Hagge company, producer of the well-known hinged "Deutsche Polizei" handcuffs, brought out the chain-style version of their cuffs.

I have seen this Schutzmark an other at http://www.nordhandel.de/9111/hbg8.htm

and I was wondering who makes them as I was told taht production stopped in the 80's. Who is the manufacturer? Hagge of Hamburg? LIPS of Netherlands?

Those cuffs are only made at special order by the Hagge company. I bought mine with some fellow collectors over here in Europe through Nordhandel and they even changed the linkage on our request so I guess this is a custom-made thing. Lips of Holland don't produce any handcuffs at this time (although all of Hagge's cuffs which are used here in Belgium by our police-force) have the 'LIPS' markings on them.
Anyway, if you want to get a chain-link DP cuff after Michael's auction ends, try it on Nordhandel and you'll get yours (probably at an extremely high shipping cost).
