couple of problems uploading photo

Put em on ebay. You'll get what they are worth. You'll also know (hopefully) who you're dealing with.
There are one or two scammers around, so be careful.

Can anyone tell me the value of any or all these to atart off with I have other pairs I uploaded these to start with in no particular preference.


I would like to hear from anyone who could tell me what kind the top left photo are. The Collector I bought from & still have Hiatt Brutus & Hiatt bed restraints, told me thay are hiatt leg irons without markings due to abolishment in the 80s Hiatt did not want to appear out of order for still making them so a second opinion on these if anyone can help

Keys are not for sale they are for my cuffs (someone emailed asking)

Top Left appears to be the modern cast zinc Hiatts. They were made by Hiatt until they folded. Retail price in the $70 range.

Tintypes develop the photo directly on the plate with no negative like modern photos. So the photo is usually reversed. The most notable version is the famous Billy the Kid picture.

Some photographers used cameras equipped wirth reversing mirrors, or re-shot the photo to re-reverse it. There's a good article on tintypes on Wikipedia.
