That the original boxes that came with these vintage handcuffs are modern and out of date for these particular models.

Everyone learned how to sell a old peerless handcuff on ebay today.
Just place them in a model 300 box!

Kinda sucks for the unknowledgable buyers who paid $200 more then they should have.
And sucks even more for the rest of us because now every seller who sees this now thinks their old peerless cuffs are worth a fortune.

Wouldnt surprise me if those big dummies list the model 300's that were originally in those boxes as 1932 peerless. lmao.

The S&W Peerless cuffs sold for $322.99

The Peerless Pat. 1912 /1915 sold for $262.77

On the S&W made cuffs the seller states that they are marked with a 3 digit serial number.

Well, as I see it, in 60 days or so, eBay will time-out the auction number and no one will be able to see the sale or know what they sold for.....unless they appear in the Joe's "Recent Sales" thread.
If Joe decides to post the sales of these 2 items, then the advanced price will become precedent and future sales will more than likely reflect the escalated and ridiculous pricing.

THEN DOWN TO : restrant history
then :how old are my peerless restrants;
clik that and answer the 5 questions discribing your old peerless they will send you all the info they have on them, give serail # or discribe them if they were pre numbered
they will tell you .date of mfg. and probably who orginal purchaser was , ect.
just thought i'd pass this along

A 3 digit serial number? I never seen one with 3 digits.

It would be great to ask peerless but.... I dont think peerless records go back that far.
I remember them guessing the "approximate" age of my old 1915's when I made an inquiry.
mine were a serial number right around 21000 or so.

They told me they started keeping more accurate records in mid 1920's.
Its been so long... I cant remember the exact numbers.
Im pretty sure they told me mine were made around 1922?

bitch and moan - bitch and moan...... i guess some of you are just envious &/or just like to complain.... just a guess, but i would bet $$$ on it that i am not far off ---- but 9 out of 10 of the items that go for ALOT more then they should are flat ass bought back by the seller.... but some of you haven't figured that out yet.... question -- do you really think that the seller that was selling THREE & TWO -- A.H. co model 200 cuffs really had about 18 - 21 of them as what i think he had auctions at least FOUR times on the cuffs..... maybe he did, but i really doubt it.... great example ----now maybe none of you want to buy from me, but one would think that there is at least a couple of people who would want the LOVELL -- DOUBLE marked cuff i have listed on ebay a couple of times -- TWICE listed with a BEST OFFER REQUESTED ------ guess what ---- NO friggen offers == PERIOD !!!! and we all know that it is a MIN..-- MIN --- $400. cuff.... now BITCH some more.... joe

Joe deliberately represented that a Berliner cuff was the Berliner cuff used in Houdini's Cologne lawsuit.
This was a shameless misrepresentation.
Joe knew full well where the real Cologne Berliner with the letter of provenance from Hardeen to Nugent was. Joe Tanner knows the present owner of the real Houdini Cologne Berliner and its accompanying letter from Hardeen to Nugent very well.
Joe has promised in a previous post on this forum that he will produce the evidence that will link the Tower handcuffs he sold some poor fool to Houdini.
But don't mistrust Joe Tanner.
Mistrust every "Houdini handcuff" until you are reasonably certain of its authenticity. Be demanding of proof.
For handcuff collectors, don't pay an extra nickel because a cuff is represented to have belonged to Houdini. Pay what the cuff is worth without the Houdini name attached to it.
If you have good reason to believe that you are being offered a genuine Houdini artifact, offer what you believe--do some research--it is worth.

H-GHOST ::: i am calling YOU an outright LIAR !!! i could post a copy of the proof letter from ME that i provided the buyer of the BERLINER cuff to show ALL exactly what i stated, but of course - YOU - would state that i just typed it up - right ... in MOST of the proof letters of the restraints that i sold from the H-W collection i stated that the item CAME FROM THE H-W COLLECTION because THEY DID !!! get your facts right before you spout your mouth off !!! but NO - you don't & you don't want to as you just want to get your name in print for others to see & know who you are....... by the way -- you never seem to mention that the BERLINER that i had & sold from the H-W collection had a (serial number) stamped on it & IT MATCHED the S.N. in the HARDEEN proof group letter where HARDEEN speaks about the BERLINER ..... do you !!!!
