I was on Wikipedia today and by accident came across "escapeology".
About 3/4 of the way down is a list of escape artists that most of here know and love.
As for me, I noted such names as, Criss Angel, Steve Baker, Thomas Blacke, Mark Cannon, Arthur Coghlan, Cliff Gerstman, Michael Griffin ,Jonathan Goodwin, Dean Gunnarson, Kristen Johnson (my personal favorite), Mario Manzini, Thomas Solomon, Bill Shirk, Steve Santini, and Bill Shirk (in alphabetical order).
So I am thinking how cool it is to associate myself with these noted performers and how over the years I had the pleasure to watch them perform, or talk and trade hancuffs with them.
This site and the Cannon Shows made it possible for me to communicate and even become friends with this list and more of the world's leading escape artists. I have learned so much and had such a good time with them.
There are some other names on the list that I am unfamiliar with and hope that they will be attending future shows or come on and blog here.

WHY is HE listed?!

Hi Joe, who is HE.

What about the guy who makes balloon animals, I taught him to pick his first ever lock in 2005 so is he does escapes he hasn't been doing it as long as the others to rate a mention.

This list brings to light several people I have not given much thought to in years. Anthony Martin was best known for a nationally televised special he did, while it was a great special many were angered by his showing of how the gaffed SJ worked and, I believe, a gaffed pair of darbies. Anthony currently lives in Wisconsin and is an escape artist evangelist.

ABC airs "Secrets of the World's Greatest Escape Artist," which telecast the escapists successful attempts to duplicate three of his most daring feats. the show concluded with Anthony's dramatic escape from beneath 2000 pounds of sand at the Las Vegas Hilton in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Steve Legg of the UK is a author, newspaper editor (The Son), speaker and evangelist who runs Break Out Trusthttp://www.breakout.org.uk/single.htm?ipg=7283 While I have the exact date somewhere (1995?) I became interested in Steve when he did a "drawn and quartered" type escape being handcuffed to two cars going in opposite directions he had to escape or be pulled apart.

Hello,

Wikipedia pages are, with very few exceptions, open to the entire public, both for reading and for writing. In other words, anyone may edit the escapology page, deleting any escapologist listed there or adding any name not listed there. The person doing the editing also can create a link from any name to a Web page. Each Wikipedia page has a tab enabling anyone to view part or all of the page's complete authorship history. Oh, well, I think it's interesting...
