wow backstraps, hummm i don't know a value, sry ,my darbys aren't backstraps however i understand the 01/10 delimia on all of my hiatt's the numbering stamping reads the same as the lettering, so if it's 01 while holding cuffs where warranted wrought reads then it should be a number 1, hope this helps

Just take out the word "backstrap" and your description would then be more accurate.

I concur with Anonymous. Just take out the word "backstrap."

That term refers to an older manufacturing technique where the hinge was made by folding a tab of steel, the backstrap, back along the bow. The strap is quite distinctive. Later designs had the end forged into the button shape like yours, and drilled for the hinge pine.
