GUCCI Handcuffs ??

I have never heard of GUCCI handcuffs before,
did you ever see something like that or is this a fake?

I can easily believe that these are legitimate. A friend once sent me a photo of a set of handcuffs which was encrusted with diamonds, on display in the window of one of the big New York jewelers. And, I believe in the '70s, as a novelty one of the famous jewelers was selling a solid gold revolver. Which is not to say that any of these items were made for use, or would work at all. It's ART!

These are consistent, in form and price, with other pair of Gucci handcuffs I've seen on eBay. I couldn't authenticate one, if you stuck it up my nose.

And they don't require a key to operate, but what is not being said is that it is solid silver but sterling silver which can be plated. I rather suspect it may be silver plate unless they can produce some creditable documentation. Some company, probable Asain made them and then was plated... Personally, no way in hell would I pay over 45 times what I think they are worth... But that is just me...

The 625 hallmark is a statement that they are solid sterling silver.

They are consistent with a pair sold by Christies for 1,625 in 2009. Those were described as, "A PAIR OF CONTEMPORARY HANDCUFFS, BY GUCCI
The realistlicly styled handcuffs made of silver, keyless operation
Signed Gucci, numbered 161297 (2)"

The eBay pair has the same serial number, which makes me mildly suspicious. Of course the seller could have bought them at Christies.

A helluvan expensive bedroom toy, and pretty odd jewelry, but what the hell!
