Iver Johnson Markings

I recently aquired a pair of Iver Johnson's and stamped on each cuff is " W.J. & H.C." does anyone know what these intitials stand for? It would appear that this is factory stamped or at least machine stamped. As always, any info is welcomed and much appreciated.
