For the sake of comparison, here is a picture of a Tower Double Lock leg iron from my collection. This one has a #1 marking on the ball.

How does your D/L set attach at the ball? Does it have that big "horseshoe or is it an eyebolt type connection.
I have another with a D/L cuff on it that I always figured was prison made or a phoney, but never knew for sure. It has a huge eyebolt welded in it. No number on the ball, chain like yours and a huge "US" swivel on it about one quarter the length of the chain from the ball.

Mine has a much smaller connector than yours. The chain is about 6ft long. Overall the cuff is similar to the one described in the Tower ad.
Note in the ad that Tower also sold a ball attached to a full set of leg irons. Does anyone have one of them in their collection?
