So, many of you are going to Indy this year. Hopefully I'll see many familiar faces there,

I spoke to Pete Schaefer tonight, who runs the convention. He asked that people please book
their rooms, and make the dinner confirmations if they intend to eat dinner Sat. night.
They need a count on the dinner. So please let him know sooner than later. I will be speaking that night on the Lorey handcuff and the Houdini French Lettercuff. So the talk relates more to handcuffs than padlocks. I hope to see everyone there, and if anyone else is definitely going please let us know, and then register for the dinner if you intend to go to that by contacting Pete.

AARP offers a non-smoking king bed for $71.20.
I did not ask what the convention rates were as this seemed really good.

I am arriving Friday night about dinner time and will be departing Sunday , also at dinner time.
Wondering what time the convention closes on Sunday.
Does the hotel have an airport shuttle of will any one be able to pick up and drop us off at the airport around these time frames?
If the convention closes in the noon hour, are there any plans to sight-see the city on Sunday afternoon?
Are there any plans to do anything away from the hotel?
Looking forward to this excursion!

I forgot to mention that all attendees should book the dinner rather soon.
The contact number was provided above.
The organizer of the dinner ALWAYS has late-comers trying to get in at the last minute and they get terribly upset when they are told that the staff did not prepare enough dinners, so they have to go find dinner somewhere else.
I will book my dinner and I know that I will be able to cancel it with a 2 week notice.
It is better to be safe than sorry.

Last time I was there, they call a limo service for airport trips as they are way out of the area for a shuttle service. Maybe more now, but it was $16 per person per trip.

Damon's Rib Restrurant is inside of the hotel, they are not a brew pub but they do have beer.

There is also a Moose Lodge about 1/2 mile away.
