You are correct. I just want a replica. I think the last authentic pair sold for $ 11,000 from the Lattimer collection. I was hoping to keep the cost reasonable.

If you're comparison is $11,000 what are you wanting to spend? A real, not reproduction Lilly Iron will cost about 10% to 20% of the one you are referring to. Of course the issue still remains...finding one that someone is willing to part with. I'd pay top dollar for a legit one...but haven't found one for sale. Perhaps Ian or John Bushey could let you know if indeed Ian has a spare repro laying around and the price of such. Best of luck!

Sorry I'm contributing to taking this way off topic. Something that generally drives me crazy. I stand by my suggested value/cost...I stand by my opinion of $4000+ for Joe's JHL marked Lilly being too much (albeit I do think it's a cool piece). Furthermore Joe, I have not sent photos because I have not yet finished my projects. Certainly somewhere in there I have addressed the main topic that you are referring to. Should I be wrong, please feel free to "laugh at me" as Ill be around for many years to come...even if just to provide entertainment.
