Theres a patent date of Dec."96 with a name that looks like "sorens "or "jorenes" could be even towers. Definatly an s on the end.Hard to see even under a magnifying glass. Maybe this will help id them.

I looked at the patent date under a jewlers loop and see the name TOWEND. There wasn't an s on the end.

I do not find any handcuff patent for this date. It could be a foreign patent. The cuffs look like imports from Taiwan.

Ok, THANK YOU Ron for the info and THANK YOU Ian for all your help in posting the pictures.. I have two handcuffs as a starting point,one Indian Darbys and a Taiwanese. Suppose one has to start someplace.Good thing this forum is here.
