Picked up something neat at a gunshow today

If anybody can help me with a value on this I'd appreciate it.

I picked up a set of ASP hinged cuffs. The package is dated 2004 and on of the cuffs say Model 200 and Patents Pending and GC 141418. What's interesting is the other cuff that says display sample and the polymer material on that cuff isn't black but clear so you can see the inner workings or at least the steel underneath.

The cuffs are still sealed in the package. They appear to be fully functioning cuffs just with a better view.

Has nobody else ever seen any of these? Only ones I've seen but I've never concentrated much on hinged styles.

They sell almost the same thing at handcuff warehouse. These demonstration cuffs have a clear plastic coating to show the internal metal frame. Consists of a single cuff with 1 key. Lock-works are not exposed- not intended to show how handcuffs work. Available in hinged or chain versions.

Discount Handcuffs sells just a half cuff. It is somewhat clear and you can see the lock housing through the plastic outer covering. You can not use the model they sell unless you are arresting a one armed man as it is just a single cuff and not a pair of handcuffs.
The set you have is much more rare and was part of a display. It is a normal hinged cuff...one side black the other side see-through. When I say half, I don't mean top or bottom, I mean the right cuff is black and the left is clear.
These were also made in a chain version.

Thanks for the info. I'm pretty pleased that this "sample" is still in the unopened package. I like that it's the old style with the patent pending stamp.
