Hiatt Peerless

I just got a pair of Hiatt Peerless handcuffs from ebay. I haven't seen many
of these on there. The pair I got have bad plating but then again I haven't
seen many of these.

These look a lot like 1970's except for the swivels and chains. I haven't got
my 1970's here to compare but I see that these also have a bow groove that the
1970's don't have and I don't remember don't remember if 1970's use an
over-sized key as these do.

My question is if anyone knows the history of the Hiatt Peerless cuffs. Why
were they using the Peerless name? Was there a collaboration between Peerless
and Hiatt or did Hiatt just decide to use the name? Any law suits because of
it? Any other dirt you may know about these cuffs such as the dates of
manufacture etc. would be appreciated.

Are these at all rare? Does anyone have a nice pair of these for sale or even
an original key?

I thought that there was only 1 version of the Hiatt Peerless until I visited my Dutch Connection in Holland.
Patrick showed me his extensive collection of fine European cuffs and allowed me to take this picture of the 4 types that he has. If you note, some have swivels in the center and some swivel at the ends of the chain.
I always assumed that the original key was thicker than the American cousin, but this is not the case. While the key hole is a bit larger in the Hiatt models, the keys are very close to being the same size.
I would like to know if anyone has a different variation or the original box.

I had already done a search for "Hsitt" Peerless and only got two results.
Dah!! A little dyslexia. But it appears that I am not the only one with that
problem.

Now it looks like I have at least three more styles of cuffs to try finding.

hi all

if i count correct there are at least 7 different hiatts-peerless cuffs
correct me if i wrong

are there more people around here who have a different model not mention
here
