#1Looking for a set in excellent condition. Browsed Ebay, etc., but was somewhat disappointed with what I'd seen as far as condition is concerned. If any posters here have the lowdown on someone looking to unload a pair of Model 3's that are in excellent shape, I may be interested. Work keeps me busy, and so does the girlfriend, but I'll check this thread when I can.
That aside, I'm not one to post a whole lot in general, but since this is my first post here, I'll "open up." I'm Canadian, not a true die hard collector, but have a few of the newer "swing through" cuffs in my 'collection.' Peerless 700, S&W 100 and Hiatt 2010's (bought 'em just before the England plant sold themselves out). And that's pretty much it, for cuffs anyhow. I like mechanical devices like locks and such, but have never really been attracted to the really old stuff. I'm 'patriotic' too, even if that sounds odd from a Canadian. For instance, I have an American Lock padlock that I purchased not long before Master Lock bought 'en out and subsequently swiftly moved all production to Mexico and China. I have never used that lock, and as such it will sit in its original form reminding me, us, that there was a time when we could produce quality items without utilizing child labour, or lax adherence to any and all regulations. Enough of the political opinion from me for now, however (I've had a few beers).
I personally believe the Peerless 3's are one of the sexiest cuffs known to man. The design is classic, even if it had its faults. I'm not a law enforcement officer, so I don't care if 50 years later some clown found a way to escape from them, or break them. Anything can be broken with enough force.
Enough ramblings from me! If you have some 3's you want to toss, post some info about them in this thread!
