#3Did anybody read the describtion on this FAKE ball and chain??? I just did and it made me laugh out loud! I copied and pasted it here:
....This is an AUTHENTIC antique ball & chain... Not one of the reproductions floating around the antiques world and especially here on eBay... WE GUARANTEE WHAT WE SELL TO BE AUTHENTIC OR A FULL REFUND INCLUDING SHIPPING WILL BE ISSUED ! ! !... NO QUESTIONS ASKED... It has a brass tag which reads "ROAD 637". The brass tag is welded or soldered to the leg shackle... The padlock is as old as the chain... The steel loop coming out of the ball reads " HARDENED"... The ball is 14" around and weighs about 10 or 15 lbs... Those who are familiar with these things know that a ball & chain was NOT meant to keep a prisoner grounded in one spot... The ball and chain was to force an escaping prisoner to carry it as he ran therefore slowing him way down... This was my father's.... His father before him was a prison guard in Louisianna in the 1930s... This could be the ultimate cure for that wife who just won't mind her man... You know the ones I'm talking about... The ones who think they're free to think and act for themselves... This'll keep them hos right where they belong... Be the envy of all your friends when you're the first in your neighborhood to slap her in irons when you take control again ! ! !..
