Is it me, or does the center screw look like it had been broken off and electro-welded back.

It's hard to say, but those glops look like welding.

The whole thing looks modern made, between electro welding and forging is crude.

I just took a second look as I was in a hurry earlier, crude repro as I saw other electro welds and other clues.

Wouldn't be surprised if someone did bid on these. The fact that they show absolutely NO natural wear whatsoever, and are terribly rough all around, tells me that someone has access to very basic fabricating tools, or their kid just finished 'em up in a highschool shop class project.

Who knows? Maybe it's the kid that's selling his shop project? Summer is just around the corner, and party money doesn't always come easy.

Somebody bought them (wasn't me if that is what you were thinking). I don't know if they are home-made, original, or what......photos can be deceiving on eBay. Sometimes they can make things look bad when they are good and sometimes they can make a buyer pay WAY too much for a piece of junk. I hope the buyer didn't get stroked (from our stand point).......if he or she is happy with the cuff and happy with the price....well, it doesn't really matter; they buyer is unstrokeable at that point.
