Well this variant of the Peerless Model 500 is known as the second Variant.

The first variant of this design is the handcuff with the STAMPED Markings and the old swivel posts.

The Final Variant is the cuff with modern swivel and lazer etchings.

If you collect variances in the hancuffs model 500 cuff; it's interesting to note that there are the same variences out there in the Leg Irons.

I have also witnessed a Penatrate Model that is marked like the first variant.

OK, I'm just kidding. The Earliest version is corner-stamped, It looks really cool. Other than markings cuffs look identical. The body is the same and so are the swivels. Internally i know they are slightly different. I have a boa retrofit kit that works on a 300 but if you install it on the 500, you cannot ratchet the cuff through. I am not sure what the difference is, but know it is there.

Well the boa kit fits on 300s and 500s ..i have just tryed it on all my peerless cuffs and even with the corner stamp ..all work fine ..maybe you put your in upside down ..lol

does it work on your peerless 400 as well? I've tried it on several different pairs of 500's. It won't work on any of them. BTW - I know how to do it.

The 400 is to thick ..Mine work on the PIC,Guardian,Romo Detective Peerless early models 300 500 the buchimer I have a set on the chicago X33 with a little modification ..these all work but some you wont have the double lock and will have to make a new double lock hole.I am going to try some of my smith & wesson with the boa system on it and some other cuffs later on that have the no center key I do have a few of the boa systems for peerless and smith but i am not selling them.
