Need to identify age of cuffs

Hello,

I have a pair of handcuffs that apparently came from an old estate. I was told they date back to the 1800's but have had a couple people tell me they may be reproductions. Can anyone identify these and let me know? I have pics but don't see how to post them here.

Thank you everyone for your input. I am researching the origin from the owner as I am seeing a lot of possibilities that these are not as old as he thinks.

These may or may not have been used as a real restraint.
Some people believe the Pakistani police or military actually used these.
Most believe that they were mae for the tourist trade.
I don't believe there was much of a tourist trade with Pakistan in the 1990's, so I believe the restraint theory has some merit.
As far as price, $10 to $25 is customary. Sometimes a dummy will bid this item (which is on eBay almost every day) up to $100 or more.

When I started collecting, legirons of this type were often considered as coming from Mexico, and yes, as tourist trap items.
