There are no problems sending TO the US. But the other direction is sometimes tricky.

I bought a Alfa pro cuff from a company in Euro a couple of years ago , Leg Irons could not legally be shipped from Europe to the USA then ( or I would have a pair ) ... I assume that they cannot be shipped to USA now .

I don't believe the European Union permits export of leg irons. This rule is much like the US's export restrictions on restraints as well.

Label the item as "steel lock" or something similar on the export declaration, and I'm sure most items will ship out. Just be prepared for the risk of the item being seized, I suppose.
