Are these cuffs new or even real?

I'm afraid you will be disappointed, no addtions for a very long time. In addtion,
for some reason a lot of pictures have disappeared and I don't know why. The site
will be updated as soon as vacation (and spare time) comes.

I've got a pair of the Bonowi's and these "tricuffs" don't look or sound anything like them. Lightest? I would hardly call the Bonowi's light; as a matter of fact they are quite heavy.

How do you know these are the same? The pic shows somthing entirely different. Plus the pic says that the hinged versions can be locked solid and I'm not aware that the Bonowi cuffs can do that (I've got the chain model).

Are we sure here?

I can't be sure but the design is very similar. My guess is that the model shown on the web site
is the final commercial version. The pre series have milled bows which would be much too expensive
in a commercial production.

I agree, the Bonowi Trilock are heavy cuffs. Maybe the new ones are made in a different metal and
in a different way. Still the same basic design.

Only my thoughts...

Hi guys. Deenside are less than 1 mile from my house. I have done some locksmith work there in the past. Not sure if they are still there but can check tomorrow. If they are still there, what would you like me to ask them? I figure that maybe they won't sell cuffs unless you are involved in law enforcement.

Just let me know what to ask them and I'll check them out.

What brand they are would be great. If you could see a pair or find out if they are the Bonowis or not.

Okay, I just got reply from the company and they are the Bonowi cuffs. Boy unless they've got a new model coming out, the description is a little off in my book.

Hello,
the picture in the first posting is an old picture. The Bonowi was announced many years before they where on market (it was the "Duke Nukem forever" for handcuffs...). The picture is a computer rendered picture from a theoretical prototype and could be seen for many years in german handcuff shops. There is an old short TV-film about making a new handcuff, the prototype shown in this film look very similar as the picture. But it is not a model for mass produktion. The model Lars has (i have also both chain and hinge version) is the actual Bonowi Trilock, it can be ordered if you are from lay enforcement etc. Until now they look as on the foto from Lars, the bows have milled dimples.

I called into the Deenside company a day or so ago, as I had done some locksmith work there, and was hoping to meet the guy who knew me. Unfortunately he wasn't there, but I spoke with girl in the office and she was very helpful. I didn't see one pair of cuffs in the place! I guess they don't need a showroom.

I asked about the Bonowi cuffs on their website, and she confirmed that they were Bonowis, but as mentioned, she couldn't show me a pair as they only get them to order, and they had none in the building. They have to order them from Germany.

I asked if I could but a few pairs, but as expected, she told me that they only sell to registered Law Enforcement Officers. No exceptions.

I left my contact details so if I get any more news, I'll let you all know.
