Hi all, I have an unusual Smith and Wesson Patent Pending model handcuff for sale. These are the older Springfield, Mass produced models with one really neat oddity; the double locks are accessible from both sides, not just one like all the others I have seen. Here are some photos:




According to the former owner, these cuffs were used in the California state prison system (prisoner transfer from court to the prison) back in the early 1980's. They are in great working condition and come with the original key. Price is $65.00 plus shipping. US shipping is $6.00 (priority mail with delivery confirmation). This is odd.
The first of these were single sided deadlocking.
As this model continued in production, the factory realized that they could add the the slot on the other side to make it easier to double lock when cuffing the bad guy.
It has been my experience that the single slot is the collectible cuff as it is much harder to find.
