Patrick,
Your collection is very impressive and I am happy to have been there to see it.
I am still amazed at how many variations of Lips cuffs you have. Hiatt-Peerless too.
The room looked quite good last October, but I see you have been busy putting the final touches on it.
You should post a pic or two of your kitchen.
While it may not be cuff oriented, you did a fantastic job on it and I was very impressed with the work you put in it....and may I add, the delicious lunch that came OUT of it too.

You have many nice cuffs, but there is a very special one I see.

Keep up the good work and I hope to see it again in a year from now.

Michael,
No this is is very different.
Here is a picture of that very cuff that I took in Holland last Oct.

As you can see, it takes a round key like a Judd or something.
Patrick has some very nice cuffs, but for some reason, this one really sticks in my mind.
Very unusual cuff....one of a kind prototype?

Great photos. Thank you for sharing. Just a question I have. Most collectors have
displayed their handcuffs in a horizontal position, at least many of them. I notice
many of yours on the walls are hung in a vertical position. I really like it. Any reason

Dear John,

I can't speak for Patrick, but hanging cuffs and other restraints vertically (1) makes them easier to level, (2) requires half the nails or tacks hanging them horizontally does and (3) makes it a lot easier for the cats to snatch and pull them down.

This is one reason I gave my cats their own chain nipper. It glides well on the floor, makes a lot of noise when they bat it and being indestructible -- I know, as they have tried -- actually is a very safe cat toy. No easily-swallowed parts or dangerous, brittle plastic. However, I have to retrieve it from under the oven or beneath the sofa often. Still, they prefer frog and turtle. "Being indestructible" is not a popular feature with cats.

Maybe I should mount the cat toys on the wall and dump the restraints on the floor. My cats have more toys than I have handcuffs to display, anyway. (Good idea, Jack. Find a blog to post it.)

it is easy for my cat
and half the way nails
and easy to space it

the other questions

the cuff left ?? tell me or show me what cuff and i can tell you
how many ?? at this moment i have 450 handcuffs + legirons and thumbcuffs
+ 10 chain nippers 1 meganical nipper and 4 cuff come alongs
fot the peerless model 1 it is somewhere in the cabinet it is not hanging
on the wall i quess

hope all questions will be answered

it is possible to show you the collection next year when you come to the 2012
convention

Well done, the displays look brilliant, I do like the idea of hanging the cuffs down it seems that you can get quite a few more items per square foot compared to displaying them across.

What a collection that is! I'm very impressed. I was particularly impressed with the hinged Tri-Locks I see hanging up. I would love a set of those!

and want to mention one thing it is not important how many handcuffs you have in your collection
it is how you feel about it and if you can affort it, for me my family is most important

i can only speak for myself but i was lucky to get some nice pieces for my collection
at small price

some of the cuff are gifts and some are very expensive
but i'm happy with my colection

Good morning from Germany,

I think about 150-160 items. I don't no. 100 items on the wall, the rest still in boxes (handcuffsnippers, chains, leg irons)

@ Mike The background is navy blue velvet.

My favorite is 8 CLEJUSO, one of the first series in a new form. The key fits in the new no more, the cuff is not labeled. These have not seen that anywhere.

(leg iron on top)

@ Patrick You're right, it must be able to afford.
I have my limits, it must be. Then you have no problem with the family.

Really expensive so far was only a Marlin Daley bottleneck handcuffs with original key. But that's a rarity much money is spend.

Jens, I like the Clejuso #8 leg iron in the middle with the swivel.....I did not know that this leg iron was made with a swivel. The #8 is a nice looking leg iron; it is one of my favorite modern leg irons, but it is terribly uncomfortable to wear! I would HATE to have to wear a set on an all-day work detail!!! LOL! Thanks for sharing!
